The First Ten Chemical Elements
Newdoll went through a major chemistry phase in her artwork journey because of probing questions from her daughter. She spent years designing artistic chemistry oriented artwork and games. This included collector cards and rubber stamps meant to allow you to make chemically bonded compounds.

The element boron may be able to form cage-like structures resembling this one. Normally, one thinks of boron as making three bonds to other atoms, but in this, the five electrons are distributed into five partial bonds to make cages.

Lithium and fluorine have an explosive attraction. Fluorine needs one more electron to have a full outer shell, and lithium is easily stolen from.

The element neon glows after electrons that have been exited by electricity up into the next shell fall back down where they belong, giving off the energy it took to escape their usual place in the atom.
